More Preliminary Measures... Ugh...

Ok, I've just recently discovered new information. I've read into Lavalamp's adaptation guide posted here http://lavalamp.trypolyphasic.com/2009/12/16/polysleeping-lavalamps-official-adaptation-guide/ and discovered a new dietary technique that should help with adaptation. This one is going to suck. I need to keep my carb intake to the levels or low or nothing. I LOVE foods that involve carbs. Italian and Mexican food are my two favorite food types. Pizza, pasta, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos are among my favorite foods. I now have to cut out pizza and pasta completely and need to turn my mexican food dishes into tortilla-less monstrosities. I am NOT excited about this diet, but I will do what it takes to adapt the easiest.

I eventually plan on testing the waters with polyphasic sleeping by doing an all meat diet, and omnivore diet, and a vegan diet for some time to see how that affects my naps, but that's for much later. Now, I get to enjoy the fruits and veggies of nature. Mmmm... You better believe I will be taking full advantage of this last week and eating as much meat and carbs as I can.

I've also decided to post up some of the links I was referring to earlier.

Here is High Existence's blog on polyphasic sleeping: http://www.highexistence.com/alternate-sleep-cycles/

Steve Palina's Blog on Polyphasic sleeping (VERY good read): http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/10/polyphasic-sleep-log-day-1/

Those provide some good information on the subject. I will try to reference all the scientific stuff I find in the future regarding preliminary measures to take, but I really can't guarantee it'll all be linked. It's going to be a LOT of articles most likely.
